Meeting Notes (Friday, 2/6/09) ----------------------------------------- In Attendance: (Note: As I retroactively summarized this meeting, the list of those who attended might not be fully accurate.) Arjun Bruce Mubariz Ryan DKL Don Anna James Stefan Felix Terry (Brown) ----------------------------------------- 5:00pm ----------------------------------------- Before the meeting really got started, everyone had fun with Christian Bale's crazy rant and commercials for the Snuggie and Slap-Chop. We met today at 5pm instead of our usual time of 5:30pm. Someone mentioned that this may have messed with people's minds and caused attendance to drop. This claim has not been tested, however. For much of the meeting, various people tried to ascertain the condition of the 16mm camera that has been sitting in the equipment room for who knows how long. The camera is an Arriflex 16 S. Apparently it does actually work, although some problems were noted, including: - Case is basically shot (foam pieces everywhere) - One lens has faulty iris/aperture - Viewfinder on camera has displaced targeting reticule - Batteries are in questionable status Everyone gathered around and watched in amazement. It was decided that we should shoot something on it soon, because A) we need to know if it is actually good for shooting and B) we need to have fun. Most of the rest of the meeting consisted of a line-by-line reading off and discussion of the proposed budget for the club for the next academic year (2009-2010). The final proposed budget is due to the JFC by 11:59pm on Monday, 2/9/09. The commentary on the budget items was helpful and James made notes of a couple points on his copy of the budget spreadsheet. Various people left towards the second half of the meeting, and the meeting was, for all intents and purposes, adjourned sometime shortly after 6:00pm or so.
