Meeting Notes (Friday, 2/20/09)

Meeting started off at roughly 5:35pm. Ryan telephoned ahead to say
that he couldn't make the meeting until 6pm. Felix began things with
an overview of some stuff, including:
	- need to ask GSA and Undergrad Senate for special allocations
	- we got $200 for the festival from the English dept.
	- upcoming shoot for Mr. Sheep on March 1
		- food and transportation provided

James brought up some issues. The postcards to be sent out to other
universities and colleges have been designed. Status on printing
is unknown, however. Felix apparently didn't get the press release
done, but said he can get it done this week.

Freeson said that he would design the first round of flyers (call for
submissions), to be distributed (hopefully) ASAP.

James brought up issues about reserving the Cut. We need to consider
this and weather/sun conditions, etc. Also, placement of the bikes.
Also, logistical concerns about sound and projection need to be
addressed. SDC, AB and cmuTV are possibles. Bike rack issue is a problem too. We might also want to find out how Schenley Park
projections. Start time of the festival also needs to be discussed.

Felix said he would also write up a form letter for soliciting judges. 
He will send it to James so he can send it out to the judges ASAP.

Attendance has been really light at these meetings. Why?!?!?!

The sun sets on April 25 at 7:49pm. The average temperatures in April
are roughly 60-some degrees (high) and 40-some degrees (low).

Space issues with bikes.

CFA sponsorship -- Ryan will approach them.

James will look into Cut reservation.

Ryan proposed idea to have archive of past winners of festival.

Also, we need to make a submissions form and put it up on website
ASAP. Ryan will make submission form.

Interest was expressed in making a commerical for the film fest as
well.

James did a little mention of his Film I project that will be
produced soon.
