Meeting Notes (Friday, 11/14/08) ----------------------------------------- In Attendance: Ryan Bruce Don Terry Brown Maria DKL Freeson Arjun James Dustin Istvan ----------------------------------------- 5:30pm ----------------------------------------- Meeting started off with some discussion of Ryan's shoot for tomorrow. Shoot will be in his apartment, but will meet at the club. Will be shot on Super8mm, 16mm, and HDV. DKL and James said they'd be there, but everyone else pretty much said they wouldn't. James asked about availability of Super8 camera for Sunday and Ryan confirmed that it would be free. This started a talk about film and different junk. Contact Simran about YouTube account access. Some talk about Google account. James mentioned that he created a YouTube account and updated a Google Calendar and embedded it on the site. James talked to Don about putting Google Analytics code on the site and to upgrade our version of Wordpress. Freeson warned about Turkish hackers hacking our boards. Viral Video idea: ------------------------ Don: Guy who can be led around a string tied to his hand, because when he was in day care the kids used to be tied together with string. People will lead him around in his sleep to weird places. Freeson: A guy's friends dress up like aliens and scare the crap out of him. James brought up some stuff, like the old film club site he found. He also mentioned checking out the archives of old projects at some point and perhaps putting some of them in the Film Festival. Istvan thought that the CMU campus was perfect to film a spy movie with weird building like Baker and Doherty. Don talked about different movies with related scenes and also about the old TV series Mission: Impossible. Might be able to make something of similar quality on our nothing-budget. Istvan talked about a scene where James Bond is in transit but nothing actually happend (funny). Viral Video idea: ------------------------ Istvan: Also, something where everyone in a film is doing well but the director is absolutely terrible. Maria started talking about her video idea and people read the treatment. However, she won't be here next semester, so... James took a vote to see when we'd meet on Sunday for Viral Video 2. Answer = 4:00pm, meet at club. Freeson volunteered to edit Viral Video #1. Meeting basically adjourned at 6:45pm. Some of club went to see Ryan's set.
