Same dumb humor, earlier time!
Check it out, y’all! This week’s regular Friday meeting will be held at 4:30pm instead of the usual time. To repeat, that is 4:30pm! We’ll be flyer-ing the city. Also, film shoots on Saturday (James) and Sunday (Ryan).

Greetings, all. I hope everyone had a great spring break … because unfortunately, now it’s over. Yep, back to the grind. But I digress…
I (James), am having a shoot today (3/15) for my film project, currently titled “Impressions” (totally pretentious, amirite?), at 10pm. If you just happen to be browsing this site in the early morning and suddenly feel the urge to help out on this production, then by all means please do so! Seriously, though, I can use all the help I can get, so anyone who helps out will get eternal love and respect … or at least food or something. I will also be shooting next weekend if you can’t make it today but would still like to help out.
Finally, the postcards for the film festival were printed and delivered this past week, and they are now in our possession. Very soon we will be printing up flyers and other stuff. Make sure you attend this week’s club meeting for all the latest juicy details.
PITTSBURGH - Members of the filmmaking community were shocked today when news of upcoming shoot dates was announced. The perpetrators, members of an underground group known as the “CMU Filmmaking Club,” are believed to be responsible for several shootings in the past few weeks, but recently they have become emboldened and are believed to be planning their most ambitious, organized plots yet — days where they will try to get in as many shots as possible!
Concerned citizens have been asked by officials to remain calm and refrain from panicking. They stress that people should be on the look out for a well-equipped group of renegade filmmakers. If you or someone you know spots such a group, don’t wait for authorities to arrive — join them immediately and attempt to find out what they’re doing. Where possible, also try to help them, as this will allow you to infiltrate their nefarious group.
“It’s just crazy to think that there’s a group out there, on our campus, trying to ‘use’ the community in order to make some kind of ’statement,’” said Jared Cohon, President of CMU, “I mean, who do these people think they are?”
For weeks, intercepted transmissions and growing “chatter” has also suggested that these filmmakers may be planning something even larger. Intelligence analysts say an event may take place on April 24, 2009, that will show off “student films,” and that that this event may have something to do with the recently active website www.rackfocusfest.com.
Another message from the elusive CMU Filmmaking Club, released this week, may also shed some light on their plans. According to the content of the message, it appears that there will be a shoot for “Mr. Sheep” on Sunday, 3/8 that will be “very important,” and that another project, known only as “that James Huff guy’s short film” is planning an “operation” for Saturday, 3/14.
When asked whether students should be worried about this rogue organization obtaining equipment of mass production (EMDs), a spokesperson for the university downplayed such rumors but would not totally rule them out. “At this stage in the game, we’re pursuing a policy of ‘wait and see’ with these people. I, for one, will certainly want to see what they ‘produce.’”
Here we are about to enter a new month. Hope everyone is having a good semester. Don’t forget to show up tomorrow for the shoot for “Mr. Sheep” at the club at 11:00pm if you volunteered to be there — should be exciting stuff. In other news, it looks like the festival date might have to be changed to Friday, April 24, because the CFA lawn is not available on the 25th.

Howdy. Did you watch the Super Bowl last weekend and help destroy Oakland afterwards? You did? High-five! I bet you also watched some of those famous Super Bowl commercials. Perhaps, though, you found them a bit … lacking. Well, I have just the thing for you — the finished (as in complete) Student Government Commercial (yes, I am really not kidding this time)! Please check it out below.
Also, please be sure to stop by the club today (2/6/09) at 5pm for another weekly meeting. The Film Festival and other matters will be discussed.
Hey, everyone. As usual, I’m putting up my notes from the meeting. Also, be sure to check back soon for the final, official version of the Student Government commercial, which will be posted as soon as the new dialogue is added to the uncompressed version of the content. Till then, stay frosty.
